NEW DELHI, August 14.
As India celebrates 60 years of Independence, age-care organisation HelpAge India is set to launch a special campaign titled “Proud2B60: Who Are You Calling Old?” Mathew Cherian, Chief Executive of HelpAge, says: “Traditionally, 60 is the onset of old age. But the new breed of older people in India is breaking stereotypes. India@60 is the time to take a re-look at ageing.”

The Bill is a milestone as far as legislation goes for older persons and is fare more effective than Clause Section 125 of Cr PC (Criminal Penal Code) but more stringent than the above mentioned section.  The Bill also provides a time frame.
