Some areas of work, where you can help:

Project based volunteering:

An excellent opportunity for you to interact directly with senior citizens in need, as well as the community at large, through project based volunteer work. You can:

• Help us sensitize the younger generation on ageing issues and taking active responsibility towards their elderly.
• Volunteer your services at our numerous healthcare and recreation camps for senior citizens.
• Volunteer with our Mobile Healthcare programme, Ophthalmic programme, or at our Physiotherapy centres.
• Assist our Helplines in providing support to older persons, through psychological counseling or professional advice.
• Listen, share, and spend time with residents of the old age homes, help organize recreation activities such as dance, drama, music or games, gardening, cleaning, helping the elderly communicate with near and dear ones through letters, e-mail, etc.
• Provide specialized professional services like counseling, legal advice, financial and wealth management services, fundraising assistance, medical advice, etc., to Senior Citizen Associations.

Functional Volunteering:

You may also choose to volunteer your functional skills and expertise at our numerous offices across the country. Some of the functional areas within which you can volunteer are Policy Research & Development, Resource Mobilization, Communications, Finance, Legal, Information Technology, Human Resources, etc.
