INFORMATION FOR AUTHORS

This Special Edition of HelpAge India’s Research & Development Journal will focus on the impact of the pandemic on older persons.

Please note that the final date of Abstract submissions is February 10th and the final date of the final paper submissions is March 31st.

Our Guest Editor, Prof. S Sivaraju, Tata Institute of Social Sciences, has suggested the following topics:

1. Different states’ responses in mitigating the problems of older persons post COVID
2. COVID impact on the mortality and morbidity status of older persons
3. COVID impacts on the wellbeing of the older persons: Sociological perspectives
4. COVID impacts on the wellbeing of the older persons: Economic dimensions
5. Impact of COVID on family and social relations of older persons
6. Response of senior citizens groups during and post COVID time: Quality of life of older persons
7. Mental health issues of older persons during and post COVID time
8. Role of community based organisations in care of older persons during and post COVID
9. CSR initiatives on care of older persons during and post COVID
10. Migrant families and care of older persons during and post COVID

SUBMISSION GUIDELINES

• The paper should be only on issues concerning ageing and aged in India. 
• The abstract should be limited to 300 words
• The manuscript should be typed in double space with a wide margin and should not exceed 4000 words. 
• The title page should carry the title of the paper, name and affiliation of the author/s. 
• The official designation and official address should be typed at the bottom of the first page of the script. 
• The paper should be divided into: Abstract, Introduction, Material and method, Results and discussion, conclusion, acknowledgements (if any) and references.
• Tables should be given in Arabic, serial number and each table on a separate page.
• References should be listed at the end of the paper in alphabetical order and they should include only works referred to in the text. 
• The format for the reference is:

– Periodicals: Surname and initials of the author(s).Year of Publication. Title. Edition. Name of the Journal. Volume. Number: Page No(s)

– Books: Surname and initials of the author(s).Year of Publication. Title. Edition. Place of Publication. Name of Publisher.
